Individual Support Worker

Jenny Hansen | individual support worker

Jenny is a warm and approachable individual support worker who is passionate about helping children, young people, and families feel supported, understood, and empowered in everyday life.

In Jenny’s words:

I’m passionate about supporting children, young people, and families in a way that feels safe, calm, and encouraging. I understand that every person has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels, which is why I take the time to build genuine relationships based on trust, patience, and consistency.

I have experience supporting individuals with diverse behavioural, developmental, and emotional needs, including neurodiverse children and young people. My approach is flexible and person-centred, focusing on creating an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves, developing confidence, and building independence at their own pace.

With a background in childcare environments, school camps, and community-focused roles, I’ve developed a practical and supportive approach to everyday care. Whether supporting emotional regulation, social engagement, community participation, or daily routines, I aim to provide steady, compassionate support while helping individuals feel understood, respected, and capable.

I know that some days can feel overwhelming for children, young people, and families, and I value being someone who can remain calm, patient, and supportive through those moments.
